Agroecoland and Agroecoscaling, the two new research projects led by the LET

The Ministry of Science and Innovation has just awarded two new projects, led by the LET, to promote the agroecological transition. On the one hand, Agroecoland: agroecological landscapes and food systems and, on the other hand, Agroecoscaling: boosting ecological transition.

Agroecoland investigates when, how and why the agri-food system has become an emitter of greenhouse gases, destroyer of biodiversity, disruptor of the biogeochemical cycles of nitrogen and phosphorus, and a consumer and polluter of water resources. It will study these transitions in the past, present, and future.

Agroecoescaling scaling up best agroecological practices from farms to landscapes and the agri-food chain, which is key for the optimal progress of the ecological transition.
